The 4KIP200D AV over IP encoder/decoder works perfectly with any Ethernet switch, whether managed or unmanaged. Don’t waste time configuring IGMP—this model is plug-and-play. Whether you’re an installer or an end user, you can effortlessly get the device up and running, even if you’ve never worked with IP technology before.
Note: You must use a PoE Ethernet switch if you want to power the encoder. A gigabit switch is recommended.
More flexible than a traditional matrix.
The 4KIP200D AV over IP solution supports one-to-one applications, allowing a single pair of encoder and decoder to work together to transmit a 1080p Full HD HDMI signal over a distance of up to 394 feet/120 meters. You can also add up to 254 encoder or decoder units to create a distributed IP matrix, which is significantly more flexible and cost-effective than traditional matrices.
Note: The HDIP100 is a more cost-effective solution when you need irregular matrix switching, such as 3×7 and 5×9, or when you need to build a matrix larger than 8×8.
Compatible with various devices.
You can install the “VDirector” app on your mobile devices, including iPhones and iPads, Android smartphones and tablets, Windows computers and tablets, etc. In addition, the 4KIP200 supports RS232 control via an external device, such as a projector. It can also be integrated with third-party control systems, such as Crestron.
Notes:
- To enable visual control on a smartphone/tablet, you must install an additional wireless router for signal transmission.
- To install the visual control app, you can search for “VDirector” in the App Store or Google Play to install the iOS/Android version. You can also scan the QR code in the user manual to download the app.
